Framatome To Provide Technical Support For Hanhikivi NPP Project

Framatome and Rusatom Automated Control Systems JSC (RASU JSC), a subsidiary of ROSATOM, signed a contract to provide technical support in design and integration of instrumentation and control (I&C) system for the Hanhikivi-1 Nuclear Power Plant in Finland.

While Framatome will provide consulting support for I&C system integration and design in the NPP construction project, RASU JSC is to review design documentation and to be I&C technical leader and integrator for Hanhikivi-1 NPP.

Hanhkivi-1 will be a 1,200-MW VVER pressurised water reactor, the total investment cost of which will be between €6.5 and €7bn, including initial plant costs, financing and waste management.
