European Research Reactor Conference 2020 – A Real Success
The European Research Reactor Conference 2020 was held from 12 to 15 October in a new, fully online version.
Aiming to gather the international research reactor community, the fully online version allowed all participants to present their contributions and stay in contact with specialists, colleagues, and friends from all over the world.
In these difficult times, we decided to test this new format in order to offer enriched knowledge, exchange, and networking opportunities to all people interested.
The four-day online conference offered a mixed schedule of live sessions, panel discussions, interviews, keynote speeches, virtual exhibitions, poster galleries, and oral technical presentations, which have been very engaging and interesting, also thanks to the interactivity offered by the platform.
We are very glad for the opportunity offered and for the great results achieved with this conference:
- 260 registered participants from 25 countries;
- 67 oral technical presentations, 17 poster presentations, 9 plenary sessions;
- over 250 Meeting Hub connections;
- more than 450 visits to the Virtual Exhibition;
- more than 1000 views on poster presentations;
- more than 1000 successful sign-ins
The European Nuclear Society thanks all participants, speakers and sponsors for their contributions to this real success, and invites all to participate in the European Research Reactor Conference/RRFM 2021, hopefully in Helsinki, Finland.
Best wishes to all and stay safe!
