AI & Nuclear Tech – NUKEM and Tellux Successfully Demonstrate FREMES EcoProbe Technology
NUKEM Technologies Engineering Services GmbH (NUKEM, ENS Corporate Member), in collaboration with its partner Tellux, presented its innovative FREMES EcoProbe system during a successful live demonstration event held in Karlstein am Main (Germany).
This belt conveyor free release measuring system represents the latest addition to the well-established FREMES-BM10 measuring system, which is used worldwide for radiological characterization and classification of several hundred thousand tonnes of material.
The FREMES EcoProbe is a fully automated solution designed to detect hydrocarbon contaminants in bulk materials.
The system leverages an optical measurement system enhanced by AI-driven evaluation, which offers precise, continuous online characterization. Future capabilities are expected to include the identification of other contaminants, expanding its range of applications.
This advanced system is ideally suited for the remediation of large areas impacted by industrial activities. Its high-precision detectors ensure thorough analysis, assessing 100% of the material and enabling complete site clearance.
Thomas Seipolt, CEO of NUKEM, said:
The success of this demonstration not only highlights the potential of our latest technology but also our commitment to delivering solutions that meet the challenges of today and tomorrow. The combination of highly precise measurement technology with artificial intelligence enables us to not only increase efficiency but also make a significant contribution to environmental protection.
