About ENS

The European Nuclear Society (ENS) is a Learned Society consisting of professionals in the nuclear sector. Its main goal is to promote and advance science and engineering related to the peaceful uses of nuclear technologies.

Pillars of Identity:

  • Scientific

ENS members are nuclear sector professionals, including academics, researchers, and experts.

  • Independent

ENS members are volunteers who provide their independent expertise, free from corporate influence.

  • A network

ENS acts as an umbrella association for 22 national networks of nuclear professionals. The Society encourages the networking of scientists and engineers between different countries and organises meetings devoted to scientific and technical matters and communication on nuclear applications.

We are the people!

ENS comprises more than 12,000 nuclear professionals from the academic world, research centres, industry and authorities: people who voluntarily commit themselves to generate ideas and take up responsibilities, who have the enthusiasm to get things done and the curiosity to learn from colleagues and from people outside the network.
