Framatome To Provide Cybersecurity Services For German Shutdown NPP
Framatome (ENS Corporate Member) recently signed a contract with RWE Nuclear GmbH to provide consulting and support services for the development of an autonomous cybersecurity solution, for a nuclear facility at a shutdown nuclear power plant in Germany.
Framatome will consult on the implementation of the IT security infrastructure legal requirements and support the client’s project team in complying with the requirements for equipment selection, installation and approval.
The project also includes the construction of a new guard station and operations building, installation of security fence detection equipment, and other cyber services to enhance security in existing systems. The project is expected to be completed in 2024.
This project supports long-term efforts related to dismantling and decommissioning German plants, as well as Framatome’s goals outlined in its international cybersecurity road map
