Over 100 Societies and NGOs Support “Net Zero Needs Nuclear”
Nuclear for Climate is a grassroots initiative gathering nuclear professionals and scientists from over 150 associations with the goal of opening a dialogue with policymakers and the public about the necessity of including nuclear energy among the carbon-free solutions to climate change.
In 2021 the ‘Net Zero Needs Nuclear’ Position Paper was published by the Nuclear for Climate initiative and thanks to the commitment of several international members, it is now available in 17 languages.
So far, over 100 societies and non-governmental organisations representing at least 80,000 young professionals, engineers, scientists, nuclear experts, environmentalists and concerned citizens all around the world are undersigned and are calling on all negotiators and policymakers who are involved at COP26 to take a science led and technology neutral approach to energy policy and financing that can promote sustainable collaboration between nuclear and renewables.
Here available the Final Declaration signed by national and international societies, NGOs and associations to support the ‘Net Zero Needs Nuclear’ message.
