Visit of the Torness Nuclear Power Station;

Torness nuclear power station is located approximately 30 miles east of the city of Edinburgh. The station consists of two Advanced gas-cooled reactors (AGR).  The AGR is a British design, which is unique to seven nuclear stations in the United Kingdom. With a net electrical output of 1250 MW Torness is capable of supplying over 1.5 million homes. Building of the station started in 1980, and it was commissioned in 1988.

After the visit British Energy will invite participants to a Whisky Distillery and an Art Gallery.

The technical visit is included in the registration fee.

The maximum size of the group is limited and participation is on a first-come, first-served basis.
