managing the knowledge base
communicating with civil society
connecting the nuclear community
The ENS network does not, as such, 'contain' the scientific
knowhow. This knowhow is represented by its members within the member
countries, in their industries, universities and research centres. ENS
can make this knowhow visible, interchangeable and subject for reflection
on a local, national, as well as global level.
In this way, ENS stimulates national nuclear societies
to establish and maintain young generation networks and to support their
participation in research, management, networking and communication
activities on national and international levels. The society organises
various activities in order to stimulate mutual learning and the transfer
of nuclear knowhow between current and future generations, and encourage
the formation of organisations of nuclear scientists and engineers where
no such organisations exist.
